turn to the upcoming Holidays. I hope that everyone has enjoyed

for next year's Gathering of the Clan in Ireland have been
made, and information will be provided in next few weeks.
There will be ample time for all of you to make your plans

adventure, as this will be the first time the Clan has
gathered in almost 400 years!
To all of our new members I welcome you to your Clan. Our
Clan is hear to be an enriching resource for your family,

A
chara,
Summer, 2005 will be a season not long forgotten.
We have seen the displacement of an entire region of the continent
and its people. Yet, through this monumental tragedy, the resilience
of the human spirit is seen in the thousands who are active in the
recovery of the Gulf Coast. I pray that all of you and your loved
ones are safe, especially our kinsmen in the affected areas. I
encourage all of you to continue in assisting the recovery efforts
by donating whatever you can to the appropriate relief agencies
working directly with the victims of Katrina and Rita.
With the long-awaited announcement on
decommissioning, I join the hopes of the entire country, that the
gun is finally being removed from Irish politics. That an end of
sectarian violence will be a reality soon with the continuation of
the implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. I also join in the
call for the cessation of Orange Parades through nationalist areas
of the Northern Counties.
Let me extend my sincere appreciation to all of
you who responded to my call for a day of prayer for the victims of
the storms. The messages which I received from all over the nation
were forwarded to service, and I join you in your petitions.
I wish all of you a wonderful autumn.

A chara,
This is a time of profound tragedy and confusion. None of us has not been horrified by the worst natural disaster in United Sates history which has effected the Gulf Coast Region. Stun and disbelief, worry and despair, need and chaos has ensued the area.
The Clan Ua Ríagáin has established an Emergency Disaster Relief Fund to assist in bringing urgently needed medical supplies, formula, and other essential needs of the children of the Gulf Coast Region.
I ask for all our members their friends, and everyone possible to help address these immediate needs of these children during the recovery and resettlement of the area. Please send your donations through our membership page and check the appropriate box.
I thank you all in advance for your generosity and commitment to help minimize the trauma of the children who so desperately need our help.
Mise le meas,
Hon. Douglas H. Reagan, Ph.D., K.C.St.G.G., K.M.Z.

A
chara,
I hope that all of you are enjoying your vacations and that all
of you are well and happy.
It has come to my attention, and several of our brethren
Dalcaissian Chiefs that an Irish Society by the name of Clan Cian,
which was created by a charter in 1982 written by it's self
appointed Chief, Frederick J. O'Carroll has proclaimed itself as
an Irish Clan over all the families and Clans of Munster.
According to their charter and website, they claim several Irish
Chiefs of the Name under them, including The O'Brien, Chief of
Name and historical Chief of the Dalcassians, as well as, our
Clan!
Let me state for the record that the Clan Ua Ríagáin has no
affiliation whatsoever to with Clan Cian Society or any of their
affiliated organizations. Any action taken by this, or any other
organization to make a claim of "overlordship" of our Clan will be
met with swift prosecution. The Clan Ua Ríagáin is a non-profit
corporation in the State of Georgia, and is administered by the
Chief of the Clan and His Council exclusively.

A chara,
As the summer season is upon us, it is my wish that all of you enjoy a
safe and happy vacation and holiday season.
The first half of this year has seen many exciting things happen for
our Clan, and many new things to come before the year is done. Our
Clan badges will soon be in production, and I wholehearted thank Mike
O'Brien or the Clan O'Brien for his great work in helping us with this
important project. I encourage all of you to purchase your own badge
when they become available, and to display it proudly. In addition,
you may already order your caubeens from our fellow Dalcaissian's the
Clan O'Hannon at clanhannon.com.
I wish to thank all of you for your kind words of congratulation and
encouragement these past few months. I am greatly honoured to be your
Clan's Chief, and I look forward to meeting all of you in the near
future. These past few months, I have been extremely blessed to be
recognized for my efforts, and I'm greatly humbled by the honours I
have received. Thank you all very much.
Mise le meas,
Hon. Douglas H. Reagan, Ph.D., K.C.St.G.G., K.M.Z.

A
chara,
His
Holiness Pope John Paul II, Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ,
Servant to the Servants of God has been called to his eternal reward.
Together with millions around the globe, we celebrate his life. Joyous
in the Resurrection of Our Lord, he will be remembered as in so many
ways, by so many people.
At this time I urge you to recall his memory and the many
achievements of this great and humble man. His passing should be a
constant reminder of how our own dignity, serenity, and comfort be
demonstrated at the hour of our death.
May the soul of Karol, Pope John Paul II of happy memory; and all the
souls of the faithfully departed Rest in Peace!

your local Irish/Celtic festivals. These are great events for the
entire family, and strengthen our heritage and culture in ways that
will last a lifetime.
This year sees the adoption of the official Clan Badge, our Clan’s
Tartan, and other items for our members and kinsmen to proclaim
their Ua Ríagáin ancestry. Many people who have seen the new Badge
and Tartan, have remarked at their stunning designs while
maintaining traditional elements that are unique to the Ua Ríagáin,
as a whole. I am very pleased with the work that has been done for
the Clan. Thank you one and all.
Within the next couple of months, we will announce the companies
that will carry these items, in a vast array products, for all of
you to obtain. I am working to keep the costs of items low, and the
quality high. I am confident that you will find the selections
reasonably priced and spectacular in their craftsmanship.
I encourage all our members to press on with our recruitment drive,
by brining two new members into the Clan this year. You know, your
relatives are the easiest people to recruit. talk to your parents,
grandparents, cousins, and others to join us in celebrating our
collective families, and our Irish heritage.

Douglas H. Reagan

A chara,
Bliain Nua Fe Mhaise Dhuit.
It is my sincerest wish that all of you achieve your
dreams, goals, and hope this coming year.
As I look back on the events of 2004, I am reminded
of the strength of the human spirit during our times of adversity
and struggle. My deepest prayer being that we meet our trials with
the fortitude and determination of our best ideals, character, and
hearts.
During the month of January, our Clan's Secretary
and I will be visiting Ireland, the British Isles, and Northern
Europe. While we visit the Grotto of Lourdes, know that I will
remember all of our kinsmen, especially those who have gone to their
rest, during liturgical celebrations at the Shrine. I ask that you
will remember our kinsmen, those who are in service to their
countries, and especially our children.
May 2005 be one of joy and especially of peace, for
us, and our world.
Mise le meas,
Douglas H. Reagan

A chara,
I hope that this letter finds all of you well, and
enjoying the preparations for celebrating the upcoming holiday
season.
There have been many great steps taken for the
future of our Clan and our numbers are continuously growing. I hope
that all of you will reach out to your extended family members and
encourage them to become members of our Clan. This is a great time
for all of us. The more kinsmen we have participating in the
upcoming events and gatherings during the next year, will certainly
make a fantastic time for one and all!
We are currently planning several gatherings and our
participation of several Celtic and Irish festivals around the
United Sates will be highpoints in 2005. Several members have
indicated their desire to lend their support to the purchase of many
needed items to make our Clan’s presence well known at the venues we
will be attending. I hope that many of you will come and be a part
of these great happenings, and show your pride in the Clan and the
Reagan family history.
Please continue to visit the Clan Website for news
and announcements of these outstanding opportunities for all of us
to meet, exchange ideas, and make suggestions for what YOU wish to
do to assist the Clan O’Reagan in engaging your interests.
I look forward to greeting all of you this coming
Holidays. Until then, may all of you be healthy, and enjoy the
respective harvest celebrations with love, good friends, and family.
