Chief Calls For Day of Prayer

September 1, 2005; Atlanta, Georgia

Our Clan's Chief has called on all our family and kinsmen to observe a day of Prayer for the intentions of the victims of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the Gulf Coast of the United States this past Monday.
Dr. Reagan had asked that all our kinsmen to remember the following intentions:

For our kinsmen and extended family, and for all those in the affected regions, that they may be comforted in their hour of need.

For the safety and protection of the hundreds that are working in the rescue and recovery of those afflicted, and their families.

For the needs of the suffering, the dying, and those whose losses are immeasurable. That they will be comforted as quickly as possible

That the rule of law, peace and stability will come quickly. That those who attempt to profiteer and create anarchy will be brought to justice.

For those that have died due to this horrific event.

These, and the intentions of our kinsmen will be remembered at a Special Mass at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church in Key West, Florida next Monday. This historical parish was chosen because of it's famous Grotto of Lourdes, which tradition holds is the protection against hurricanes on the island.

The Reagan Tartan is Here!

September 16, 2004, Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland

We are so very pleased to announce, with the outstanding efforts and creativity demonstrated by our Clan Secretary Debby Reagan, that our design for the Reagan Tartan is in the process of being registered, woven in Scotland through the efforts of the Scottish Tartan Authority. This registered charity works closely with the Lord Lyon’s Court in matters pertaining to tartans.

Officially designated as the Ua Ríagáin Tartan (Register # 6427), all Reagan’s may display and wear it proudly as their own. In order to prevent improper commercialisation of the tartan, the Clan will possess the copyright of the design in perpetuity.

Shortly after the initial run of tartan is made, we will have various products available to all members here on the Clan’s website. We will keep all members informed of availability.

Clan’s Heraldic Artist Named
August 30, 2004

If you have seen the headline banner to the Clan’s website or the beautiful graphic of the Reagan ancient arms, then you are familiar with the brilliant work of Clyde Webb, one of the finest heraldic artists of his time.

Usually reserving to take commissions for either members of the Clergy or of the various European chivalric orders, Clyde says his renditions are for the love of the work, not for himself. His selfless time and effort in creating these one-of-a-kind master-works of the timeless traditions and conventions of heraldry, has brought him acclaim and distinction worldwide.

Clyde is also the official heraldic artist to the Royal House of Bragança and the Imperial Nguyen Royal Household. It is with distinct pleasure and pride, that our Clan Chief has named Mr. Webb as the official Heraldic Artist to the Clan Ua Ríagáin.

You may see other dazzling examples of Clyde’s work on his website HERE
